Habit Bags

When a foreign bag manufacturer, CB Station, sought to enter the American marketplace, they knew they needed more than just quality manufacturing to make inroads, but they weren’t sure how to move forward. I was asked to come aboard as a creative consultant. I worked on every aspect of the brand language, developed the artwork, and contributed to the manufacturing strategy for the brand.

After countless brainstorms, we landed on the name, HABIT, to conjure both a sense of home (habitat) and feeling of reliability. The brand language is clean and modern. Our manufacturing plan focused on ways to play up the strengths of the core business–durable canvas tote bags–but sought to expand the company's offerings to include home goods like hampers and storage bins. I created bold geometric prints in a range of colors suitable for fashion and home.

Every detail of the Habit product line was considered, ensuring that the weight of the canvas, stitching on the seams, folds in the construction, and added details like metal grommets and leather handles, all told the same story: style and quality. Altogether, Habit presents story of reliability and modern style to a design conscious audience.
